Interrelationship Diagraph Definition:

Interrelationship Diagraph Notes:

Interrelationship diagraph is related to affinity diagram. It can be constructed only after the affinity diagram is made. It helps in determining the relationship between different issues and also shows the crucial behavior of each issue. In order to construct an interrelationship diagraph, five steps are involved. First, an affinity diagram is to be made which identifies the issues or problems. After that, relationships between the issues are established, as of which of the other issues are caused by a specific issue. This is done for all the individual problems and arrows are drawn between the problems (written in blocks) to show the relationship. The block (issue) with the most incoming arrows is considered to be a performance indicator while the one with the most outgoing arrows is considered to be the root cause. Finally, brainstorming is done to find ways to address the major issues (with many arrows pointing out).
