DMADV is a Six Sigma process improvement technique which is used in relation to Design for Six Sigma. It is a process that is used when new products or processes are created. It involves five stages. The first stage is define which includes the detailed definition of the project in addition to identification of the goals and objectives. The second phase is measure. This step involves measuring the variables/factors that are critical to the quality project. The third step is analysis which includes the tools and techniques to analyze the measured factors or variables. The fourth step is design. It involves designing the product/process alternatives in a detailed manner. The final step of DMADV is verify which involves the verification of the selected alternative at all levels.
