Taking the concept of sustainability in consideration, it is important to design processes that meet the goals of sustainability. Reduction of industrial waste, either sold or gaseous, is a goal of sustainability. For this reason, industries make efforts to renew their processes and operations so that the waste could be minimized. These goals are often achieved through product and process design. The organizations try to adopt the processes that are environment friendly. The technology and equipment used by the organizations is also clean (no pollution) in green manufacturing. Green manufacturing also uses renewable energy sources, recyclable materials, and tend to reduce emissions.
