Undeveloped Events Notes:
Fault tree analysis is a method to identify and assess the faults within a system and their chances of occurrence. It is a top down approach which divides the whole system into levels and identify faults at each level. The faults can occur due to different types of events. A type of event in fault tree analysis is undeveloped event. It is a type of event that cannot be further divided into lower levels because the information available for the undeveloped event is not sufficient. Due to this, the probability of occurrence of an undeveloped event cannot be determined. As a result, an undeveloped event has no specific effect on the system.
