Sum of Squares Notes:
Analysis of variance involves a collection of models and tools which are used to consider the variances in group means and analyze those variances among group means in a sample. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is related to the variability so it aims to divide the total variability into two parts and test the hypothesis based on those parts. A concept in analysis of variance is normally used called sum of squares. Sum of squares show the total variability in the data. Sum of squares is further divided into two parts; one is the sum of squares of the difference between treatment means and grand mean, and the other is the sum of squares of the difference between treatment observations and treatment means.
