The Baldrige Excellence Program has formed basis for a number of international awards in quality. One of them is Malcolm Baldrige Award. There are some key characteristics of the award that include focus on results, adabtibility, company-wide alignment of goals, and goal based diagnosis. The steps involved in the Baldrige process are applications review, judges' consensus, consensus review, site selection, site visit, and winners' recommendations.
