The Baldrige Excellence Program has formed basis for a number of international awards in quality. One of them is Malcolm Baldrige Award. It is a quality award given to those organizations that successfully achieve an outstanding level of overall quality. Both small and large firms are eligible for the Baldrige process. There are some key characteristics of the award that include focus on results, adabtibility, company-wide alignment of goals, and goal based diagnosis. The steps involved in the Baldrige process are applications review, judges' consensus, consensus review, site selection, site visit, and winners' recommendations. Some of the Malcolm Baldrige Award winners are Nestle Purina Pet Care Co., Boeing Aerospace Support, and Sunny Fresh Foods, Inc.
