Quality Improvement Notes:
Quality is considered to be one of the most important aspects of a product. A customer is more focused on quality than any other thing related to product. Quality must be improved in order to capture customer market. Moreover, quality also needs to be improved in order to eliminate waste. Quality improvement relates to variation reduction in products and processes. A process can have different types of variations that can be classified as assignable and non-assignable causes of variations. When these two types of variations are reduced, quality improvements can be made. When the poor quality is associated with waste, the waste not only includes material waste but also involves wastage of time, money and effort.
