SERVQUAL Notes:
SERVQUAL is basically a survey done by an organization to gather information regarding customers' needs and preferences. The approach can be used in a variety of service situations. SERVQUAL provides as a standard in the assessment of service quality dimensions and is a reliable way to get the required information. SERVQUAL has two parts. The first is customers' expectations which refer to the requirements that a customer wants to be fulfilled by a particular service. The second part is customer's perceptions which show how customers perceive a specific aspect of a service. Survey must be done regarding both the parts as both, expectations and perceptions of customers is important to be identified in order to understand the gap between what customers need and what they are provided with.
