Life Testing Notes:
To improve the quality of products, reliability Engineering has been in practice nowadays. Engineers apply the concepts of probability in order to determine the chances of a product's failure during its useful life. To accomplish this objective, life testing is performed by the engineers. It is an aspect of reliability engineering that aids to determine the chance of failure of a product when special controlled conditions are provided to it. It also shows if there is a chance of the overall product failure if a part of product fails. This data provides the engineers with an opportunity to incorporate a backup in the product to cope up with the partial failures in order to increase the efficiency of the product over its useful life.
