Traditionally, the focus of organizations was on the quality control within the operations. Now, there is a trend of incorporating quality in the supply chain activities. An approach which considers all the supply chain activities and integrates the quality control and assurance with them is called supply chain quality management. It is important to know that quality should be a part of every function of the organization.
