Reengineering Notes:
Reengineering is basically changing the business design process whenever required. Usually reengineering is performed by automating the processes. While performing reengineering, there are two important factors that must be successfully taken care of. They are depth and breadth. Breadth indicates the impact of reengineering throughout the organization. Depth indicates the effect of reengineering on information system, responsibilities, skills of the workers etc. It means that the two crucial factors infer that reengineering impacts are both generalized (throughout the organization) and local (work area). A fast food restaurant redesigning its delivery function and achieving exceptional results is an example of reengineering.
