Kano Quality Design Model Notes:
Relationship between quality and design was developed by Professor Noriaki Kano. The model highlighting this relation, called Kano model, shows that quality can be considered as a basis of customer satisfaction and customer requirements. There are some products that meet customer requirements with basic quality but customers' satisfaction level for those products is low. Some products show good performance quality and meet the customers' requirements so customers are more satisfied with them. Finally, some products provide an attribute with exciting quality. If the requirements are fulfilled by these products customers are satisfied, but even if the requirements are left unfulfilled, it does not result in dissatisfaction due to the attribute of exciting quality.
