Fixed Effects Analysis of Variance Definition:

Fixed Effects Analysis of Variance Notes:

Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was developed by Ronald Fisher. It is a set of statistical tools, models and procedures that can be used to analyze the variances in group means in a sample. ANOVA is used to test general differences among group means. Fixed effects analysis of variance (ANOVA) is a type of ANOVA that uses the deliberately set levels of factors in the ANOVA model or design rather than the random sampling from a possible population. Fixed effects analysis of variance can be used to determine the equality of treatment effects (deviation or difference from overall mean). ANOVA is used in hypothesis testing.
