Managing Quality: Integrating the Supply Chain by S. Thomas Foster
Facilitator Notes:
When people work together in a team, every member has a definite role to play. One of the role while managing teams is facilitation, which is very important to understand. A facilitator guides a team and helps it understand the goals of the team, where it should be headed and how the objectives of the team can be achieved. Facilitation is necessary when the team members have little experience in working with teams. A facilitator develops a plan through which he/she guides the team member how to perform their designated tasks, keep the team focused on the objectives, and makes sure that each member gets an equal opportunity. A facilitator is a neutral person who should not favor any particular member of the team.
