Force Field Analysis Definition:

Force Field Analysis Notes:

A project must be planned efficiently for successful completion. A tool used for project planning is called force- field analysis. Force-field analysis identifies the factors/variables/forces that affect the project in both, positive and negative way. The forces affecting the change are then quantified for easy analysis. By performing force-field analysis, the factors that can degrade a project are identified and rectified accordingly. Moreover, those factors or forces can also be identified that provide support to the project. Three steps are involved in force-field analysis. The first one is to list the positive factors in first column and all the negative factors in third column. Then the factors are given a score (1=weak and 5=strong). The scores of the positive and negative forces are summed up and drawn in a diagram.
