Work Breakdown Structure Notes:
After the objectives and goals of a project are established, the next step is to understand the tasks that are to be performed to achieve the goals and ultimately complete the project. For this, a tool called work breakdown structure is usually used. A work breakdown structure divides a project into tasks. It provides the time period required to complete each task and establishes relation and interdependencies between the tasks. The tasks are further divided into sub tasks and finally minor activities. The relations for these sub tasks and minor activities are also established along with the required time periods. Work breakdown structure is an important tool of project management.
