SIPOC Notes:
DMAIC is a structured process that is used for quality improvement. It has five steps in which the first step is called define. The define phase involves defining the quality problem. While defining the problem, graphic aids can be used to easily understand the processes. One graphic way is named SIPOC. SIPOC is a diagram acting as a high level process chart/map. SIPOC is an acronym for supplier, inputs, process, output, and customer. In every process, these five elements are present. SIPOC is used to provide overview of a process involving these five elements. SIPOC is generally used for services and non-manufacturing industries.
