Np Chart Notes:

Np chart is a type of attribute control chart which is used to determine the number of non-conforming units in a sample. The sample size of each subgroup in case of np charts is the same. Np charts are easy to understand because they show integer numbers that related to non-conforming products. The minimum subgroup size to make an np chart is 25 units. Control limits for np chart are established using the already defined formula. Np chart is an adaptation of p chart. Np charts are based upon binomial distribution. For example, in a clocks' manufacturing unit, the number of defective clocks can be determined using np charts.
