Control Charts Notes:
Control charts are also called process control charts or process charts. These are used to monitor a process to ensure that the process is stable and capable of producing quality products i.e. products under set specification limits. Process control charts are broadly classified into two categories, variable charts and control charts. Variable charts are the control charts that take into account the quantifiable features of a product and check them with the specification limits. These include X bar charts, R charts, XR charts etc. Attribute charts are the control charts that take into account that features of the product which are non-quantifiable. Attribute charts include p, np, u and c charts. All the control charts have a center line and upper and lower specification limits however, the formula for these is different each type of chart.
