One aspect of quality management is quality planning. Quality planning is considered to be a strategic activity which has a long term effect on the business. The first step of quality planning is to identify customers and their needs and requirements. It is then planned to develop processes that are stable and capable enough to product products that meet those customer requirements and needs. Moreover, planning for quality improvement is necessary and an important part of quality planning.
