Lower Specification Limit Definition:

Lower Specification Limit Notes:

Specification limits are a range of values between which the products must be produced. Specification limits can be set by both producer and the customer. A desired value of measurement or variable that a product is expected to satisfy is called target value. However, due to many reasons the products produced do not satisfy the target value. Based on this fact, a range of values are determined. The minimum value of variable which the product is allowed to take on is called lower specification limit. Lower specification limit is the value below which the product produced would be unacceptable. For example, if the required measurement of a rod diameter is 3?0.5 cm, the lower specification limit is 2.5 cm.
