The final phase of a project's life cycle is termination. A project should not be terminated spontaneously. Some project termination activities must be performed. These include organization of project documents, making final payments and post project evaluation both internally and externally. The project termination step should be included in the base line plan. The project termination activities are important in order to get experience and learn from that experience so that the lessons can be used in the future projects. When a project is completed, it is necessary to determine if the desired deliverables are provided to the customer. When the actual performance of the project is evaluated by the customer, project termination activities can be performed.
