When a project is carried out, it is important to monitor the performance of the project by observing the activities and tasks. Different measures and factors are observed during the project to make sure that the project is being performed according to plan and is going in the right direction. The raw data that is observed and measured is called work performance data. The work performance data is collected and further analysis on the data takes place in the control process. Different factors are considered as work performance data. Some of them are key performance indicators, technical measures, start and end times of the activities and tasks, progress of the schedule, change requests, actual costs of the project etc.
