Control Chart Definition:

Control Chart Notes:

Control charts are also called process charts or process control charts. These are used to monitor a process in order to ensure that the process is producing quality products with capability and stability. Control charts involve calculation of upper and lower control limits which show the allowable range of variation for the project from its specified specification limits. Commonly, control charts are the statistical tool to monitor the processes that involve repetitive activities, but project managers can also use control charts in project management process. Control charts in project management enable to capture any variances in cost and schedule or any changes in the project scope. Based on these variances, corrective actions can be taken by the project manager and the team to get back on track.
