Physical Resource Management Notes:
A project needs resources which can include both physical and non-physical resources. Physical resources are the tangible items needed for the project e.g. equipment, people, material etc. Non-physical resources are the intangible items needed for the project which include unique skills, patents, good will, financing etc. The resources need to be managed properly, so that they can be utilized effectively and efficiently. Physical resource management is the process of managing the physical resources needed for the project. The information needed for effective physical resource management include resources demand, resources supply and the configuration of the resources to meet the demand. Physical resource management also involves allocating the right resources to the right project activity so that the project is completed successfully on time.
