Sampling Plan Definition:

Sampling Plan Notes:

A sampling plan helps to identify what type of data/measurements need to be collected at what times. A sampling plan also shows who will gather the data by what means. A sampling plan gives size of the sample, the conditions in which the sample is to be taken and the method by which a sample will be drawn. In quality management, sampling plans are needed in acceptance sampling method. There are different types of sampling plans. Single sampling plan is a plan that requires a single sample to be inspected for the decision of acceptance or rejection of the lot. A double sampling plan requires two samples to be inspected for the decision of acceptance or rejection of the lot. A sequential sampling plan involves selecting a group of products at different times for inspection.
