Quality of a product is basically how the customers perceive it. Nowadays, all the efforts are made to satisfy the customers either through their involvement in design process or marketing. Customer considers quality of products or services based on their own understanding. Even if the product conforms to specifications or is reliable and durable, still a customer could not like it. Perceived quality is all related to a customer's mind. In order to improve perceived quality of a product, marketing should be done well. Moreover, branding (brand image, brand recognition), mouth publicity etc. can affect perceived quality of a customer.
