Job analysis is a set of steps involved in dividing the requirements of a job. A job analysis details all the information that relate to a certain job. It involves identifying the contents of a job including the tasks and activities, qualification requirements, required expertise and skills etc. Job analysis is an important function of human resource. Based on it, employee selection is performed. Using job analysis, an organization can find the best suitable candidate for the particular job. Based on the job description which is determined through job analysis, the pay scales are set. Job analysis is a tool to incorporate quality in the human resource function by finding the most appropriate person possessing the required level of skills to perform a specific job.
