N=2 Technique Notes:

N=2 technique is a type of acceptance sampling with a minor difference. The traditional acceptance sampling technique inspects a sample of products when a batch is received from the suppliers. A limit for maximum number of defective products allowed is set based on which the whole batch is accepted or rejected. On the other hand, N=2 technique aims to develop a strong relation with the supplier and determines whether the supplier's processes are controlled and capable or not. For this reason, only the first and the last products of the batch are inspected. If these two items conform to specifications and confirms that the supplier's process is capable. In short, the sample size of N=2 technique is two.
