Requirements of customer for a particular project must be identified and managed so that the requirements can be fulfilled. To manage the requirements, a requirements management plan must be developed. It is a document that details the ways of analyzing, documentation and managing the customer's requirements. Requirements management plan is also called business analysis plan. If the requirements are analyzed correctly, it is easy to manage and fulfill them. Important components of a requirements management plan include planning, tracking and reporting the requirements activities, configuration management activities (ways of initiating the changes, analyzing impacts etc.) , prioritizing requirements, requirement metrics, traceability structure etc.
