Checkpoint Notes:

A checkpoint is one of several points in the eukaryotic cell cycle at which the progression of a cell to the next stage in the cycle can be halted until conditions are favorable. One example of this is that if during the checkpoint its found that DNA has not duplicated or if the DNA is damaged and has not been repaired properly, the cell cycle will stop immediately and shall stay that way until the damage is repaired.
