Benign tumors are those tumors that do not cause serious problems and can be removed by surgery.

Benign tumor Notes:
A benign tumor is not a malignant tumor which is basically the harmful one and leads to cancer. In most cases, the outlook with benign tumors is very good and don't cause any harm. But However they can be serious if they press on vital structures such as blood vessels or nearby nerves. Benign tumor does not invade nearby tissue or spread to other parts of the body the way cancer can and mostly stays at one place like an outgrowth of cells.
