Reproducibility Definition:

Reproducibility Notes:

When a process is monitored, some characteristics need to be measured in order to compare them with the needed specifications. For this measurement, some measurement tool or gauge is used. Measuring the variable or characteristic comes under the measure phase of DMAIC process. However, sometimes, there can be an error in the gauge that affects the measured values. The capability of the measurement system or instrument must be determined first. Two factors are involved in the measurement system capability. One is called reproducibility. Reproducibility is linked with observing or measuring values under different conditions. Reproducibility refers to the difference between the observed values when they are measured using the measurement system under different conditions e.g. time periods, different operators etc.
