Parallel Reliability Notes:

It is important to understand that a system should be reliable in order to perform its intended function well. A system is a combination of different components working together to make the whole system work. If a component fails, the overall system fails. For this reason, the components' reliability must be high to get a highly reliable system. Sometimes, achieving high reliability is not possible. To avoid the issue of complete system failure, a backup is used which is called redundant or parallel system. The backup is connected in parallel and independent of the series components' failure. It increases the overall system reliability.
