For the implementation of Six Sigma, the roles of different people within an organization may vary. A person with Green Belt certification has a sound knowledge of all the aspects of quality control specifically DMAIC process. The Six Sigma green belts work in close relation with the black belts and get guidance from them too. Their job is to identify any quality issues and analyze them accordingly. They communicate the results of the analysis to the black belts and in this way participate in the quality improvement process. Six Sigma green belts also serve as a participant/member in more advance quality improvement projects under the supervision of black belts.
