As the name indicates, cross training refers to the efforts of an organization to train its employees in different functions. Employees are usually hired to perform one job within an organization. Cross training enables the employees to learn the skills required to perform other tasks as well in addition to their own tasks. Cross training is an approach which helps in increasing employees' involvement in the organization and provides job satisfaction.
