Managing Quality: Integrating the Supply Chain by S. Thomas Foster
RUMBA Notes:
In the design phase of DMAIC process, the problem identification is done. For this, business case is developed which includes all the objectives of the project. The business case must be efficient and its efficacy is checked through different ways. One way to check if the developed business case is efficient is RUMBA. It is an acronym which stands for Realistic (showing if the set objectives are feasible or attainable), understandable (is every aspect of the business case easy to understand?), measurable (are the measurable properly identified?), believable (Is it good to allocate financial resources to the project?) and actionable (this questions the project's implementation).
