Product Liability Notes:
Sometimes, a faulty or defective product can be sold to the customers. The defect in the product can be dangerous and can cause injuries to the user. In this case, the manufacturer of the product is liable to the customer to pay for any injuries or damage caused by the product. This concept is called product liability. Product liability is a part of law that is applied to all product manufacturing firms. Product liability allows the customers to file any legal complaint against a manufacturer who sold defective product to him/her. Examples of defects that could result in product liability are a pharmaceutical drug with inconsistent amounts of ingredients, a mobile phone that heats up quickly, a building built with low quality construction material etc.
