Corrective Action Notes:
After the determination of a process incapability or being out of control, the next step is to take corrective actions wherever required. Corrective actions are taken with the aim to take a step forward towards continuous improvement. Typically eight steps are involved when corrective actions are taken. First, the quality problem is identified. A team is formed to work on the identified problem. Then brainstorming is performed to determine the causes of the problem. After that, the potential solutions are brainstormed. Next, the causes are removed from the system. Then the process is restarted. Everything i.e. problem, causes and solutions are documented and the results are communicated to everyone within the organization.
