Acceptance Sampling Definition:

Acceptance Sampling Notes:

To assure quality of materials or end product, there are some techniques in practice. Acceptance Sampling is one of them. This technique can involve both, a 100% inspection of material or finished product, or inspection of a few items randomly selected from the batch. Acceptance sampling can be applied at the input station i.e. the raw material and at the output station i.e. finished goods. The technique sets a maximum defect limit above which the whole batch is rejected. For this reason, the technique is controversial. There is always a chance that a good batch might get rejected and a bad batch might get accepted.
