Schedule Control Notes:
The tracking and reviewing of the performance of a project is important in order to compare the actual performance with the planned one so that any changes required can be made. The processes involved to perform tracking and reviewing come under monitoring and controlling process group. Different processes are included in the monitoring and controlling process group. One of the processes is called schedule control. A project schedule is a timetable that shows the duration of the project activities and tasks. This timetable must be regularly monitored so that any variations from the planned schedule baseline can be detected and corrected on time without allowing the variations to affect the project's estimated completion time. This is done through the process of schedule control. Schedule control must be performed throughout the project life cycle.
