The costs associated with the ownership of the product by an organization throughout the product life cycle are collectively called life cycle cost. The process of analyzing the costs associated with all the stages of a product's life cycle is called life cycle cost analysis. Life cycle cost analysis is performed to identify different alternative courses of action with the aim of reducing the cost.
