Resource Breakdown Structure Notes:
The resources needed to carry out a project efficiently must be identified and acquired. Different activities and tasks of a project need different resources. Just like the activities and tasks are decomposed to the lowest level using a work breakdown structure, same is the case with resources. Resources for a project, when represented in a hierarchy gives resource breakdown structure. Resources are broken down on the basis of the category and type. Resource categories can be labor (human resource), material, equipment etc. Resources types include grade level, skill level etc. depending upon the skill category. A resource breakdown structure is a document that details all the required resources and it can be used to procure the needed resources.
