Although it is important to provide the deliverables to the customer and complete the project on time, but the results of the project must also be of high quality. This means that quality improvement/management is a part of project management. Different methods and techniques like Six Sigma and PDAC can be used for quality improvements during the project. The results of these techniques can be documented to form quality reports. A quality report is a written or graphical document that shows any deflection from the defined quality standard. Quality reports can be both quantitative and qualitative. Using quality reports, different processes or departments associated with the project plan the corrective actions that need to be taken in order to meet the quality expectations.
