Different project manager may use different management philosophies. The philosophies involve different principals or functions. One of those functions is directing. Several steps are involved in directing. One of the steps is called motivation. As the name indicates motivation involves encouraging the project team members to perform their roles and responsibilities well. Motivation means to stimulate the needs of individuals which affects their action of goal accomplishment. Motivation acts as the reason of people to act in a certain manner. A motivated person will work efficiently in order to fulfill the needs and desires that are the driver of his/her motivation.
