Project management depends on these process groups to plan, execute, monitor, control and close a particular project. Process groups basically help in achieving the project objectives. Out of five project management groups involved in project management, one is planning process group. The processes involved in planning process group help to define the project objective and providing the team with the methods and strategies to achieve the defined objectives. Processes of this process group help in developing project management plan along with its components. Some of the processes of planning process group are development of project management plan, defining scope, collecting requirements, and scope management planning etc.
