Project Sponsor Notes:
A project sponsor is an individual who is responsible for the overall performance of the project. He/she makes sure that the required deliverables are provided to the customer. A project sponsor is usually from top management level e.g. general manager or executive. A project sponsor develops relationship between organization and client/customer. He/she is the one to ensure that correct and sufficient information exchange takes place between the customer and the contractor. A project sponsor guides the project manager regarding project objective, priorities, staffing, monitoring, planning etc. A project sponsor also helps the manager to develop appropriate strategies and policies for the project which are in compliance with the organization's policies.
