Process groups address tasks associated with different knowledge areas of project management. Process group is a combination of different processes involved with the same knowledge area. In order to achieve the project objectives, process groups play a vital role. There are five project management process groups. One of them is executing process group. The processes involved in executing process group involve the actual performance of the planned work which is required to achieve the project objective/s. This process group deals with resource coordination, management of stakeholders and performing the project related activities so that the project is completed successfully. The time, money and other resources are consumed in this process group. Some of the involved processes are managing project work and knowledge, managing quality, acquiring resources etc.
