Project Control Notes:

When a contract is made with the contractor and the project starts, it is important to check whether the actual performance is according to the plan. It is necessary for a contractor to monitor the progress of the project and compare it with the base line plan. This process is called project control process. Based on the comparison, any corrective actions that are needed to be performed are determined. During the project control, two types of data are important to be collected, data about the actual performance of the project, and any changes that are to be made in the project scope, budget or schedule. Once any changes are needed, the base line plan is prepared again according the changes. Project control must be done throughout the project.
