Reporting Period Notes:
When a contract is made with the contractor and the project starts, it is important to check whether the actual performance is according to the plan. For this reason, the progress of the project must be reported to the customer from time to time. A tie period is established for this reporting which is termed as reporting period. Reporting period may vary from project to project depending upon the project size. Reporting period can be daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly. If a project's duration is less, progress could be reported daily. On the other hand, for a project that could be running for a number of years, the reporting period can be monthly.
